We know that a community works best, when all parties are involved. We value our parents’ feedback and involvement throughout the year. Following on from the parental forum, we now offer parents the opportunity to work alongside the College in driving reflection and having an input into a number of key areas with a central focus around communication between home and school. We meet once a term to focus on key issues and to share in the understanding of the challenges, support and opportunities a modern school faces. The sessions are threefold, firstly an overview of the statutory guidance from the DfE or relevant body, then an interactive look at how the College enables this and how it links to our current development plans, and the evening concludes with parental reflection.
Parents have the opportunity to have a real impact on the college. We work together to affect change and to lessen the distance between school and home. Parents not only broaden their skills and knowledge, but also find out what they need to know, and have the opportunity to affect change to enable the St Boniface community to work together to support the progress of all students in our care.
