Leading from the Middle
At St Boniface’s Catholic College, we know we are all lifelong learners, and we believe in providing opportunities for CPD to all staff. We currently offer a training opportunity for established and prospective middle leaders in teaching and support staff at our College. The aim is to develop leadership skills through reflective pedagogy, action research, and access to an in-house coach. We believe that each member of staff is a leader in learning and we aim to continue to develop reflective practitioners, open to change and open to sharing good practice and development of others.
The course provides:
Access to a coach to drive understanding and reflect against learning.
Voluntary training sessions every three weeks designed to enrich and understanding of pedagogy, logistics, systems and policies.
360 degree feedback to enable the participant and their coach to read real data to reflect against their leadership and management style, and opportunities for development;
Lead on and reflect against a practical project decided between the coach and the participant, to provide the opportunity of wider departmental/whole school experience.
We are all learners and part of the community of St Boniface’s and this group is another part of our continual support and development of each other.
